Fashion in the 40's

In the 1940’s there were major shortages of fabric, the women had plain dresses down to their knees with the broad square shoulders. Most women made their clothing out of feed and flour sacks, women also wore trousers, stockings, and scarfs. Most men wore their uniforms sence they were in the war but the others that stayed home wore suits. When the guts weren't wearing their army caps he would wear a wide brimmed fedora.
